Privacy Policy

GoodMorning (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a private app for couples to send each other one short affirmation a day. We built it to be quiet and personal, and we treat your data the same way. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We only collect what the app needs to work:

• Account information — your email address (used to sign in and recover your account) and the username you choose.
• Profile details you enter — your display name, your partner's first name, your delivery-time preference, and your time zone.
• Your notes — the affirmations you write and send to your partner. These are stored so they can be delivered to your partner and shown in your shared history.
• Connection information — the partner you connect with (by username) so we can deliver your notes to the right person.
• Push notification tokens — a device token so we can notify you when a note arrives or a partner request comes in. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple; we never see or store your payment card details.

We do not collect your phone number, your contacts, your location, or your device's advertising identifier.

How We Use Your Information

• To deliver your notes to your partner at the time you choose.
• To connect you with your partner and manage connection requests.
• To send push notifications you've enabled.
• To maintain your streaks, history, and account across your devices.
• To provide and manage subscriptions.

We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.

A Note on AI

The daily writing prompts you see are generated with the help of an AI service. Your private notes are never sent to any AI service — prompt generation uses only generic, non-personal information. The words you write to your partner stay between you, your partner, and our secure database.

How Your Information Is Shared

We share information only with the service providers that make the app function, and only as needed:

• Supabase — secure database and backend hosting where your account and notes are stored.
• Expo / Apple Push Notification service — to deliver push notifications to your device.
• Apple — to process subscriptions through the App Store.

Your notes are shared with one other person only: the partner you choose to connect with.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all your stored notes at any time from within the app: Settings → Delete Account. This erases your data from our servers. You may also email us at the address below and we will delete it for you.

Security

Your data is stored on managed, access-controlled infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Children's Privacy

GoodMorning is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
